Over the brushes, weight distribution is improved, and the soiled water doesn't swirl around. To empty and clean, or to pour through the opening, the unclean water tank can open like a clamshell. Since shampoo has its own reservoir, I can discard the used water without discarding the fluid as well. Has horizontal rotating brushes rather than barrel-style ones, and I now prefer this. I would repurchase this.
